What is ionizer technology?
First, we need to understand what air ionization is, what it can do, and how it does it. Simply put, air is sucked into the air purifier and passed through the ion generating field. During this process, some molecules become charged. Finally, these charged particles are discharged into clean exhaust gas and adhere to the particles in the air. These charged particles attract each other and begin to gather with other particles.
This caused two things to happen: First, these amplified particles are more easily captured when they pass through the HEPA filter for the second time-this is a win-win result, because we have cleaned the air and captured the air. Particles in the purifier. The second possibility is that these larger particles are now heavier and they will naturally fall to the ground-we think this is a win-win situation.
The good news is that the air is cleaner, but the bad news is that dust particles are now scattered on the floor, bed, sofa, piano, etc. Of course, you can use a high-efficiency air filter vacuum cleaner to absorb these particles, but it is more likely that every time you sit on the sofa, you will kick these particles into the air. This is not an optimal solution. The priority is that the particles must not only be removed from the air, but also removed from the environment and captured by the air filter.
What do we know about ion generators
Some ion generators produce ozone, which is harmful to the lungs. This situation is not as common as it used to be, but it still needs to be remembered. For this reason, you need to make sure that the air purifier you want is CARB (California Air Resources Board) certified. This certification is currently the most stringent ozone-proof certification. If it is approved, you can rest assured that the device only produces a safe/low amount of ozone. Therefore, we only recommend CARB-certified units including ionizers.
The ionizer is effective and can increase the performance of the air purifier by nearly 10%. They can also send clean, fresh air to your space. However, we fully understand why some people would rather not. In this case, we would prefer CARB-certified units that have an on/off ionizer. In other words, you can choose when to use or not to use the ionizer. Choice is a good thing.
